Glad you all like the post. The walk was amazing. The best part was the smell of the forest. It was a cross between damp Earth and a sweet fruit. I'd like to have been able to capture the scent somehow.

Glad to see your surroundings, Matthew. I like the smell of the forest, too. It's a lot better than town smells.
my mother would have walked paths such as that third photo down in the 1920s. I never saw it. Didn't walk it. But Mama imprinted it in my mind/memory.
Fabulous Matthew. I so appreciate you putting those up, because you know how much I miss WV scenery.
